Here are some of the things that make my practice different:
1. Individualized Care
No two people experience pain, stress, illness, or recovery in exactly the same way.
I look at the whole picture—including your symptoms, health history, lifestyle, sleep, stress, digestion, medications, activity level, and personal goals—to create an individualized treatment approach.
2. Time to Be Heard
I believe quality care requires time.
Your appointments are designed to give me the opportunity to listen carefully, assess your progress, answer questions, and make thoughtful adjustments to your treatment plan.
You are not just a symptom or a diagnosis. I want to understand what is happening in your life and how your health is affecting the things that matter most to you.
3. An Integrative Approach
Acupuncture is at the heart of my practice, but it is not the only tool I use.
Depending on your individual needs, your care may incorporate:
- Acupuncture
- Chinese herbal medicine
- Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM)
- Cupping
- Gua Sha
- Moxibustion
- Ear acupuncture/NADA
- Lifestyle and self-care education
These therapies can be used independently or thoughtfully combined to create a comprehensive treatment plan.
4. Experience With Complex Patients
Many patients come to me after dealing with persistent symptoms, injuries, chronic pain, stress, or health concerns that have not been adequately addressed by a single approach.
My goal is not to promise a quick fix. Instead, we take the time to understand the factors contributing to your current health picture and determine how acupuncture and integrative care may appropriately support your goals.
5. Extensive Military & Veteran Experience
My practice has extensive experience working with Veterans and Active Duty military members, including experience within the Fort Carson military healthcare environment.
I understand that serving in the military can place unique demands on the body and mind. I strive to provide care that is respectful, individualized, and responsive to the needs of those who have served.
6. Evidence-Informed, Patient-Centered Care
Traditional Chinese Medicine and modern healthcare do not have to exist in separate worlds.
I value both clinical experience and evolving research while recognizing that every patient is different. I strive to communicate clearly, consider the broader healthcare picture, and make treatment decisions collaboratively.
When appropriate, I also encourage communication with your other healthcare providers and referrals when a concern falls outside the scope of our practice.
7. We Want You to Understand Your Own Health
One of our greatest goals is patient education.
I don't want you to simply receive a treatment. I want you to understand what we are doing, why I am doing it, and how you can participate in your own health.
Knowledge creates empowerment—and understanding your body can become an important part of your healing process.
8. A Comfortable, Personal Environment
I believe the treatment environment matters.
My practice is intentionally designed to provide a calm, private, one-on-one experience where you can slow down, feel heard, and focus on your health.
From your first visit forward, my goal is for you to feel that you are receiving care from someone who genuinely knows you—not moving through a treatment line.
Your Health. Your Goals. Your Care.
There is no single treatment that is right for everyone.
My job is to listen, assess, educate, and work with you to determine what approach makes the most sense for your individual needs.
If you're ready for a more personalized approach to your health, I'm here to help.
